Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Echo Technologist for a travel assignment in Rapid City, South Dakota. The role involves performing echocardiograms, ensuring image quality, and delivering accurate data to physicians for interpretation.

The Echo Tech will operate ultrasound equipment, care for patients undergoing echocardiograms, and meet certification requirements (BLS, ARDMS/CCI) with a 13-week assignment and 40 hours per week. Immediate opening with travel responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Must have 1 year of experience.
• Must have BLS, ARDMS-RDCS or CCI-RS National Certification and state-specific licensing when required.
• Echo Techs should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty.
• BLS, ARDMS, CCI (RCS), 2 Years

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and/or patient\'s family regarding procedures performed
• Demonstrate competence in performance of echocardiographic studies
• Consistently perform quality Doppler and color Doppler Exams
• Acquire quality Stress Echo and Dobutamine images according to Physician and benchmark standards
• Perform quality Trans esophageal echocardiograms according to physician expectations
• Demonstrate an understanding of cardiac disease processes and acquired images
• Report findings or concerns to reading physician for prompt interpretation
• Perform all related processing required for each completed study
• Maintain equipment including cleaning and disinfecting according to department procedure and identifying problems with equipment and reporting appropriately
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system
