Qualifications

• Must complete an accredited training course in cardiac technology.
• Must complete an accredited training course in cardiac ultrasound.
• Must have interpretation skills to prepare a preliminary interpretation.
• Graduate of a cardiac echocardiography technology program.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient for examination and perform 2-D echoes, M-mode and Doppler studies.
• Prepare preliminary interpretation of those studies.
• Maintain records of echocardiography studies.
• Assist supervising physicians with training of residents and staff.
• Demonstrate knowledge of multiple echocardiography platforms.
