Position Overview

We are seeking a Pediatric Echo Technologist to perform diagnostic echocardiographic studies for patients across a broad range of ages and developmental stages. The ideal candidate has pediatric echocardiography experience, strong technical skills, and the ability to support patients and families throughout the imaging process.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic pediatric transthoracic echocardiography examinations.
• Obtain appropriate B-mode views, including parasternal, apical, subcostal, and suprasternal views.
• Perform Doppler imaging, including color Doppler.
• Operate echocardiography equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic studies.
• Explain procedures to patients and families and help them feel comfortable during examinations.
• Prepare preliminary echocardiography reports for cardiologist interpretation.
• Review studies with the cardiologist as needed.
• Adapt communication and patient care to neonatal, infant, toddler, preschool, school-age, adolescent, and adult patients.
• Support inpatient and clinic imaging needs as ordered.

Must-Have Credentials

• ARDMS RDCS credential
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Pediatric echocardiography experience
• At least 1–2 years of relevant experience

Preferred: Pediatric registry and Epic charting experience.

Department Details

• Typical daily volume is 5–6 studies during an 8-hour day, with the potential for 7–8 studies.
• Study volume may vary based on clinic and inpatient orders.
• No floating, on-call, weekend, or holiday requirements.
