Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Echo Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Mount Airy, North Carolina. The role requires 1 year of experience, BLS, ARDMS-RDCS or CCI-RS certification, and state licensing where required.

Duties include performing echocardiograms, Doppler studies, and integrating results with physicians. The Echo Tech will ensure quality imaging, prepare patients, and maintain equipment, with 8-hour day shifts and 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience required.
• Must have BLS, ARDMS-RDCS or CCI-RS Certification and state licensing when required.
• Echo Techs must stand/walk long periods and have knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and/or family regarding procedures performed.
• Demonstrate competence in echocardiographic studies.
• Perform quality Doppler and color Doppler exams.
• Acquire quality Stress Echo and Dobutamine images per clinician standards.
• Perform transesophageal echocardiograms as required by physicians.
• Report findings to reading physician for interpretation.
• Maintain equipment and perform cleaning per procedures.
• Maintain accurate patient records.
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system.
