Qualifications

• Successful completion of an accredited training course in cardiac technology.
• Successful completion of an accredited training course in cardiac ultrasound.
• Interpretation skills to facilitate a comprehensive examination and an accurate preliminary interpretation.
• Graduate of a cardiac echocardiography technology program.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination and perform 2‑dimensional echoes, M‑mode and Doppler studies.
• Provide preliminary interpretation of echo studies.
• Maintain records for echo studies and assist physicians with training.
• Operate and understand multiple echocardiography platforms and technology.
