TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Radiology Technologist for a travel job in Omaha, Nebraska. The role requires 1 year of Rad Tech experience, ARRT (R) certification, and BLS, with 40 hours per week and 10-hour day shifts for a 13-week assignment.

The Rad Tech will operate diagnostic imaging equipment, prepare patients for testing, position patients correctly, protect against radiation exposure, calibrate equipment, and maintain patient records using McKesson PACS.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of radiology technologist experience.
• ARRT (R) certification and BLS are required, plus any state licensing as applicable.
• Ability to stand/walk for long periods and work a 10-hour shift.

Responsabilités

We are looking for a Radiology Technologist (Rad Tech) for an immediate travel opening in Omaha, NE. The right Rad Tech must have 1 year of experience. Read below for additional requirements.

As a Rad Tech, you will be responsible for the use of diagnostic imaging equipment, ensuring that images are accurate and passed on to physicians for medical interpretation. Rad Techs are also responsible for preparing and caring for patients undergoing radiologic testing.

Tasks

As a Rad Tech, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:

• Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests and explain imaging procedures to patients providing reassurance and support as required
• Follow orders from Physicians regarding which area of the patient's body needs imaging
• Correctly position the patient and adjust the imaging equipment to appropriate position
• Prevent unnecessary radiation exposure both to yourself and to patient by taking appropriate protection precautions
• Calibrate imaging equipment
• Prepare results for Physician to review
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system

Requirements

Must have 1 year of experience. Must have BLS, ARRT (R) National Certification, and state-specific licensing when required.

Rad Techs should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. Rad Techs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
