Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Allied Staffing is seeking a travel CVOR Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Rapid City, South Dakota. This position runs 40 hours per week with 10-hour day shifts, and requires CVOR experience and surgical technology credentials. Start date is 11/16/2026.

The role involves scrubbing, circulating, heart holder support, and instrument handling for open-heart procedures, with comprehensive benefits and travel reimbursements offered by a Joint Commission-certified agency.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology or 3 years recent CVOR experience.
• Current CPR provider card.
• Minimum 18 months CVOR experience or completed CVOR orientation for open-heart care.
• Knowledge of CVOR instrumentation for cardiac procedures.
• Experience with CABG and cardiac procedures.

Responsibilities

• Performs treatments per protocols.
• Scrubs for surgical procedures and assists in 2nd circulating and Heart Holder roles.
• Picks supplies, sets up instruments, and performs instrument checks and sponge counts.
• Obtains specimens and hands them to the circulating nurse.
• Facilitates room turnover time.
• Participates in department on-call schedule.
