Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel CVOR Technologist for an assignment in Everett, WA. The role involves scrubbing cardiothoracic cases, assisting in open heart procedures, and supporting a high-volume operating room environment.

Shifts are four 10-hour days with on-call requirements and weekend coverage. Travel position with competitive pay and housing or housing allowance provided.

Job Summary

Surgical Technologist, Operating Room Open Heart. This position supports cardiothoracic and general operating room procedures in a high-volume surgical environment. Responsibilities include cardiothoracic case scrubbing, flexible endoscope reprocessing, and support for complex cardiovascular, thoracic, laparoscopic, and general surgical procedures.

Job Details

• Schedule: Four 10-hour day shifts per week, generally scheduled from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, totaling 40 hours per week. At least 10 call shifts per month are required, with call coverage potentially scheduled from 5:00 PM to 6:30 AM. One to two weekend shifts per month are required. Start date is January 4, 2027.
• Required Qualifications: Minimum of 1 year of experience; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Washington state registration; competency in general, cardiovascular and thoracic, and laparoscopic procedures; ability to perform singular scrubbing for cardiothoracic cases; ability to support general operating room cases.
• Preferred Qualifications: National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) certification; experience with adolescent patients; experience with obstetric and gynecologic, plastic, ear, nose and throat, urologic, robotic, orthopedic, neuro and cranial, and transplant procedures; experience with bronchoscopes, esophagogastroduodenoscopy scopes, and endobronchial ultrasound equipment; experience with flexible endoscope reprocessing.
• Additional Information:
  • Daily surgical case volume averages approximately 55 cases.
  • Procedures include coronary artery bypass grafting, aortic valve replacement, abdominal aortic aneurysm repair, mitral valve replacement, minimally invasive valve procedures, video-assisted thoracic surgery, mediastinoscopy, robotic-assisted thoracic surgery, carotid cutdowns, and laser lead standby support.
  • The role supports adult and geriatric patients in a Level II trauma center.
  • A quick learner who is willing to assist with ongoing learning is needed.
  • Scrub attire may be any color except reddish orange.
