Operating Room Open Heart (OR OH) specialty position in a healthcare facility. The role involves supporting cardiac surgical procedures, including coronary artery bypass graft (CABG), aortic valve, mitral valve, and transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR). The position requires scrubbing on open heart cases and adherence to hospital protocols for acute care settings.

Job Details

• Location: Not specified
• Schedule: Days shift, 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with on-call responsibilities up to 50% of weekends and weekdays, response time of 30 minutes, minimum 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: BLS Certification; minimum 2 years of experience; valid license to submit strongly preferred
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with open heart surgeries such as CABG, aortic valve, mitral valve, or TAVR; ACLS Certification required for RNs
• Responsibilities: Scrubbing on open heart cases, supporting cardiac surgical procedures, working within a team including charge nurses and specialty leads, complying with hospital protocols, and responding to on-call duties as needed
• Certifications: BLS required; ACLS preferred for RNs
• Additional Information: 4 shifts per contract, 3 shifts if contract duration is under 13 weeks; EMR system used is Cerner; hospital provides scrubs and scrub techs; charge nurse and specialty leads available for support; house supervisor available from 6 pm to 7 am
