Job summary

TalentBurst is seeking a CVOR Surgical Technologist in Columbus, OH for a 13-week contract. The role requires strong cardiac scrubbing experience, CVOR exposure, and trauma center background. 2+ years of surgical tech work, BLS certification, and graduation from a CAAHEP-accredited program are required.

Shifts include day hours with 4x10s or 5x8s, no weekends, and limited on-call duties. Travel eligibility requires address distance from central facility. Hospital provides scrubs and locker.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience as a surgical tech
• Large Hospital experience (Level I or Level II Trauma Center)
• BLS (AHA) certification
• Graduated from an accredited (CAAHEP) surgical technologist school or equivalent military training or 10 years experience as a Surgery Technician
• High school diploma or GED
• Must have strong cardiac experience including scrubbing hearts

Responsibilities

• The Surgical Technologist prepares the room and gathers supplies needed for surgical procedures; delivers instruments to the surgeon and other members of the surgical team intra operatively; may function as second assistant to the surgeon; assists in decontamination post operatively.
• Experience scrubbing a variety of cases including CVOR; other service lines include GYN, General, Neuro, Ortho, Trauma; department consists of 20 OR suites with average census ~50; hospital provides locker and scrubs.
