Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing is seeking a travel CVOR Registered Nurse for a 13-week assignment in Phoenix, AZ. The role entails direct and indirect nursing care, collaboration with the surgical team, and ensuring sterile equipment and proper patient positioning throughout procedures.

The ideal candidate will have 1 year of CVOR RN experience, an active RN license, and current BLS. ACLS and other certifications are preferred. Travel benefits and comprehensive pay packages are offered.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a CVOR RN.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS (AHA/ ARC) certification.
• ACLS (AHA/ARC) certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain proficiency in Cardiovascular/Cardiothoracic procedures, including open and closed heart surgeries.
• Prepare the CVOR for the patient and procedure.
• Assemble equipment, supplies, medications, and implants, ensuring availability and function.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the surgical team for coordinated care.
• Position patients safely using approved devices for optimal exposure and safety.
• Provide post-surgical care coordination and handoff to recovery.
