Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing seeks a travel nurse RN CVOR for a 13-week assignment in Philadelphia, PA. The role involves direct and indirect patient care, assisting in cardiovascular procedures, and collaborating with the surgical team.

Start date 08/10/2026. Requires 1 year CVOR RN experience, active RN license in PA, and BLS. ACLS preferred; benefits include health insurance, PTO, 401(k), and recruiter support.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a CVOR RN
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification

Responsibilities

• Maintain proficiency with cardiovascular/cardiothoracic surgical procedures, including open and closed heart surgeries.
• Prepare the cardiovascular operating room for the patient and surgical procedure.
• Assemble equipment, supplies, medications, and implants, ensuring functionality and availability.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, perfusionists, and the surgical team to deliver coordinated care.
• Utilize data from surgical preference cards for the surgical procedure and surgeon.
• Position patients safely using approved devices to prevent injury and enable optimal surgical exposure.
