Job summary
Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN CVOR for a travel nursing job in Burlington, Vermont. The Open Heart OR RN position provides specialized care for open heart procedures in a large academic hospital, with a 36-hour week on a rotating D/E shift.
Responsibilities include scrubbing hearts, adjusting to float to other OR suites, and delivering high-quality cardiovascular nursing in a teaching hospital environment. Travel experience preferred; housing and benefits available.
Qualifications
- Valid BLS certification.
- CNOR certification preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of OR RN experience with cardiovascular/open heart exposure.
- Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years.
- Proven ability to scrub hearts.
- Prior travel nursing experience.
- Experience in large (500+ beds), academic teaching hospitals; able to float to other OR suites.
Responsibilities
- Provide specialized surgical care for open heart procedures.
- Operate in a large academic teaching hospital setting.
- Maintain flexibility with a 36-hour workweek on rotating D/E shifts.
- Float to other OR suites as needed (general, ortho, neuro, ENT).
