Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN CVOR for a travel nursing job in Asheville, North Carolina. The assignment is a 13-week travel role with 36 hours per week, 12-hour night shifts.

Qualified RNs will have CVOR experience, ACLS and BLS certifications, and 1–2 years recent acute care preferred. The role involves circulating in cardiothoracic surgeries and requires strong aseptic technique and patient care skills.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• 2 years of recent acute care experience preferred.
• RN with CVOR specialty and travel or assignment experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional CVOR care as circulating nurse for cardiothoracic procedures.
• Assess, plan and evaluate patient nursing care before, during and after surgery.
• Administer medications, apply dressings and monitor vital signs.
• Assist physicians during surgical procedures and maintain aseptic technique.
• Coordinate operating room activities and ensure equipment and supplies are ready.
• Handle specimens and maintain sterile field throughout cases.
