Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a CVOR RN for a contract position in North Carolina. The role requires a valid NC or Compact RN license and BLS, with 2+ years of CVOR experience.

You will work 12-hour day shifts (0700–1900), totaling 36 hours per week, in a Magnet-designated Level I Trauma teaching hospital with dedicated ORs for cardiac, vascular, and thoracic cases. Experience with Epic EMR is preferred, along with hybrid OR exposure.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in NC or Compact required.
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum 2 years CVOR experience.
• Experience with Adult Cardiac cases required.
• Vascular and Thoracic surgery experience required.
• Hybrid OR experience preferred.
• Epic EMR experience preferred.
• Last 12 months CVOR core experience within the last year required.
• One professional reference dated within the past year from a Supervisor/Manager/Director/Charge RN required.
• Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required.

Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care for Adult and Pediatric Cardiac, Vascular, and Thoracic procedures.
• Staff 7 ORs dedicated to Cardiac, Thoracic, and Vascular surgery.
• Support Cath Lab and EP Lab activities.
• Collaborate with Clinical Supervisor, Charge RN, and OR team.
• Work 12-hour day shifts on a 0700-1900 schedule (36 hours/week).
• Rotation-based schedule with on-call and weekend requirements.
• Possible float to Pineville CVOR if needed.
• EMR used is Epic; IV Pumps Alaris; Omnicell for meds.
