American Traveler, LLC. is hiring an experienced CVOR RN for a cardiac surgery position requiring scrub and circulate skills along with call availability. The role is located in a 1000+ bed Level 1 trauma hospital with a 56-bed OR, inpatient/outpatient services, and five procedural rooms.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (TN or compact) required.
• Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience required.
• Must scrub and circulate cardiac surgeries; travel nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work within the OR Float Pool at a 1000+ bed Level 1 trauma hospital.
• 56-bed OR (inpatient and outpatient) plus 5 procedural rooms.
• Patient population includes complex CABG, valve repairs, repeat cardiac procedures, heart failure, ECMO, VAD, heart and lung transplant, PTE, cardiac trauma, and adult congenital cases.
• Adult population only; pediatric OR is a separate unit.
• 12-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM.
• Schedule days vary weekly based on unit needs; no block scheduling available.
• Call required for all travelers in cardiac surgery, with three layers of call rotating every 6 weeks.
• May float between OR units but not between facility locations.
• Provide perioperative nursing care for complex cardiac surgical procedures.
• Scrubbing ability is a non-negotiable requirement for this role.
• Local candidates accepted within a 75-mile radius at a lower rate.
