Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse CVOR for a travel nursing job in Burlington, Vermont. The CVOR RN will circulate for a variety of cardiothoracic procedures and work with physicians, RNs, and other staff in a fast-paced surgical setting.

Ideal candidates have 1-2 years of acute care experience and BLS, with a strong ability to adapt to a busy OR environment. Travel benefits include competitive pay, stipends, and comprehensive TotalMed RN benefits.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years recent acute care experience.
• BLS certification (and other required certifications)

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, and evaluate nursing care before, during, and after a surgical procedure.
• Participate in the care of patients receiving conscious sedation.
• Administer prescribed medications, apply dressings, monitor vital signs.
• Assist physician during procedures.
• Maintain aseptic techniques and monitor for breaches in aseptic technique.
• Coordinate the operating room with sterility, equipment, and supplies.
• Ensure proper handling of specimens.
