Job summary

Ascension is hiring for a Certified Registered Nurse (RN) to join the CVOR Surgical Services team at Ascension Columbia St. Mary’s Milwaukee Hospital in Milwaukee, WI. The role supports scrub and circulating duties, patient care, and coordination with the surgical team during procedures.

Expect day shifts, 40 hours per week, and a competitive benefits package. The position requires a nursing diploma and active RN licensure, with ACLS/BLS certifications as noted in the requirements.

Qualifications

• Certified Registered Nurse (RN) prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• ACLS within 6 months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date; BLS within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Performs scrub functions including instrument and supply handling during procedures.
• Performs circulating functions: monitors patient condition, records, communicates, and manages nursing care before, during, and after procedures.
• Assists operating physician with surgical tasks including hemostasis, suturing, and patient positioning.
• Prepares operating rooms and surgical instruments and equipment for use.
