Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit RN for a travel assignment in Evansville, Indiana. This 13-week travel role is 36 hours per week on a 12-hour day shift, with an immediate opening for qualified candidates.

Ideal applicants have 1-2 years of acute care experience and valid ACLS, BLS, TNCC, NIH, and CPI certifications. Benefits and tax-free stipends are noted, with pay based on shifts and hours worked.

Qualifications

• ACLS, BLS, TNCC, NIH, CPI certifications required.
• 2 years acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide critical care to patients with potentially life-threatening heart conditions.
• Prepare and administer prescribed medications.
• Take samples for diagnostic tests; order, interpret and evaluate diagnostic tests.
• Apply hemodynamic, phlebotomy and IV protocols.
• Be called in for emergencies to provide CPR and operate defibrillators hospital-wide.
• Educate patients and family members on how to manage recovery at home.
