Job summary

TotalMed RN in Seattle, WA is seeking a CVICU travel nurse for an 18-week assignment. You will work 36 hours per week across 12-hour night shifts, starting immediately to support post-operative cardiac patients.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of acute care experience in CVICU, with ACLS/BLS certifications. Travel nurses enjoy competitive pay and benefits while rotating through a fast-paced, critical care environment.

Qualifications

• 1- 1-2 years of recent acute care experience.
• 2- CVICU experience preferred.
• 3- ACLS and BLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide critical care to patients with potentially life-threatening heart conditions.
• Prepare and administer prescribed medications.
• Take samples for diagnostic tests; order, interpret and evaluate diagnostic tests.
• Apply hemodynamic, phlebotomy and IV protocols.
• Be called in for emergencies to provide CPR and operate defibrillators hospital-wide.
• Educate patients and family members on how to manage recovery at home.
