Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an experienced CVICU RN for an 18-week night shift assignment in Seattle, WA. The role requires prior travel nursing experience, WA or compact RN licensure, BLS and ACLS certification, and CVICU expertise including open-heart procedures.

The schedule is nights 3x12 hours, with weekend coverage and intra-hospital floats. EPIC charting is used. Lodging and travel stipends apply; first-time travelers should discuss eligibility with recruiters.

Qualifications

Active WA or compact RN license (pending accepted)
Current BLS and ACLS certification
Minimum 2 years CVICU experience; open heart experience preferred
Prior travel nursing experience required
Proficiency with vents, IV starts, PA lines, pacers, and Swan-Ganz catheters
Experience with Impella, IABP, LVAD/RVAD required
Skilled in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
Post-op cardiovascular experience required
EKG telemetry compliance testing

Responsibilities

Provide critical care nursing to complex cardiovascular and post-surgical cardiac patients
Float within hospital to other ICU units as needed
Uphold EPIC charting and hospital protocols
Monitor and manage post-operative cardiovascular patients
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and recovery
