Job summary

TotalMed is seeking a CVICU travel nurse to join our Madison, Wisconsin team. This 13‑week assignment offers a 36‑hour work week with 12‑hour rotating shifts in a fast‑paced CVICU setting. Travel RN responsibilities include critical care, medication administration, diagnostics, and rapid response to emergencies.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of acute care CVICU experience and holds ACLS and BLS certifications. This travel role provides competitive pay and benefits through TotalMed RN.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years' acute care experience required.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• CVICU travel RN role in Madison, WI.

Responsibilities

• Provide critical care to patients with potentially life‑threatening heart conditions.
• Prepare and administer prescribed medications.
• Take samples for diagnostic tests and interpret results.
• Apply hemodynamic, phlebotomy and IV protocols.
• Respond to emergencies with CPR and defibrillation hospital‑wide.
• Educate patients and families on recovery at home.
