**Experience and Skills:**- Successful candidates usually have 3+ years of experience, previous travel experience, and have worked in a very busy hospital in the past.- Experience with EPIC required.- CRRT experience is preferred but training is provided.- Required skills include the ability to titrate drips, specifically all vasoactive drips for cardiac patients.**Certifications and Licensure:**- Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Certification, NIHSS- License to submit is required, with a willingness to wait.**Clinical Experience:**- Experienced ICU RNs are specifically required.- Common patient types include heart and lung transplants, LVAD patients, ACB, and valve surgery patients.**Leadership and Team Structure:**- The unit has a charge RN who usually manages patients.- One PCA is present on the floor.- Utilizes an Intensivist model and RT is assigned to the ICU 24/7.**Education:**- BSN is not required.**Scheduling and Flexibility:**- Candidates must be flexible on scheduling, as there is no self-scheduling.- The requirement includes working every other weekend (EOW) and six weekend shifts in a six-week schedule.- Flexibility to float according to competency is needed.**Additional Environment Details:**- The unit follows a teal scrubs dress code.- Orientation includes 2-3 shifts with preceptors.
