Job summary

TalentBurst is seeking a Travel CVICU RN for Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN. This onsite 13-week contract features day shifts (12 hours) with a 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM schedule and a weekly pay package.

Candidates must demonstrate strong critical care and CVICU experience, including hemodynamic monitoring and PA catheter skills; preferred experience with IABP, Impella and CRRT. Required ACLS and BLS certifications, NIH certification, and ICU proficiency.

Qualifications

• Strong critical care experience, CVICU background required.
• Advanced hemodynamic monitoring skills required.
• Certifications ACLS and BLS must be current.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to immediate post-operative cardiac surgery patients on the CVICU.
• Perform central line insertion and Swan-Ganz catheter placement.
• Manage complex devices (IABP, Impella, CRRT) as needed.

Unit Specifics:
Number of Beds : 16
Patient Ratios : 1:2, 1:1 for certain device patients
Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability) : Free floating charge nurse to assist staff. Unit secretary and Administrative Care Tech M-F 0730-1530. Student Nurse Externs on variable shifts that assist nurses by performing tech duties.
Type of equipment : Phillips bedside telemetry monitors, Hill-Rom beds, Alaris IV pumps
Documentation system: Meditech
Scheduling requirements: 2 weekends/month, 1 summer holiday (Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day), 2 Winter Holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve, New Years Day)
Floating policy: C/L employees float as needed, typically to other ICU s but can include other floors.
