Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Cardio Thoracic ICU travel nurse to join an 8-bed CTICU in Chesapeake, VA. The role involves caring for post-operative CABG and cardiac patients with 1:1 or 1:2 supervision, on a 12-hour night schedule, as part of a 13-week contract. LIC required, Epic EMR proficiency essential.

Expect travel benefits, per diem and relocation support as part of the package; pay is weekly with tax considerations to be clarified. First-time travelers welcome.

Qualifications

• Active VA or compact RN license required at time of consideration.
• Minimum 2 years of recent CVICU/CTICU nursing experience.
• Must have BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Care for post-operative CABG, acute cardiac, and stepdown patients in an 8-bed CTICU.
• Maintain one-to-one to one-to-two patient ratios during night shifts (3x12h, 19:00-07:30).
• Operate advanced cardiac/critical care equipment and ventilators.
