Job summary

Northwell Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to operate CT and radiographic imaging equipment, prepare patients, and maintain documentation in a fast-paced radiology department in New York. Schedule includes 7am-7pm, Thursday through Sunday, with emphasis on patient comfort and safety.

The role requires graduation from an approved Radiologic Technology program, NYS licensure (or CT), ARRT registration, and at least 1 year of radiologic exam experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program.
• New York State and/or Connecticut licensure as Radiologic Technologist.
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient for exam and explains procedures in lay terms to reduce anxiety.
• Performs radiologic exams and positions patient per SOPs; adjusts immobilization devices as needed.
• Operates x-ray and CT equipment; monitors patient safety and documents history and exam data.
• Labels images correctly and logs exams for daily tracking; maintains required records.
