Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with 2+ years of experience to join a Level I trauma acute care hospital. This night shift role runs 3x12s (1830-0700) with weekend coverage and hospital-wide floating. Siemens CT systems, Cerner charting, and acute care exposure are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience required
• ARRT, ARRT-CT, and BLS certifications required
• State license required if applicable
• Experience in Level I trauma, adult acute care, outpatient, ICU, and Emergency Department settings required
• Abdomen and Pelvis CT skills including abdomen and pelvis imaging with/without contrast required
• Chest CT skills including chest and vascular chest imaging (e.g., PE, CTA, aorta) required
• Head and Neck CT skills including carotid, head, sinuses, soft tissue neck, and trauma head imaging required
• Spine and Musculoskeletal CT skills including cervical, lumbar, thoracic, and musculoskeletal trauma imaging required
• Coronary CTA experience required
• Image display and post-processing skills including 3D rendering, multiplanar reconstruction, and ROI measurement required
• Proficiency in isolation precautions, contrast media administration, radiation safety, peripheral IV starts, and venipuncture required

Responsibilities

• Work in the CT department of an acute care hospital
• Adult Acute Care, Adult Outpatient, ICU, and Emergency Department patient populations
• Night shift, 3x12 hours from 1830-0700
• Weekends as needed, no call required
• Floating required within the hospital or to nearby affiliate facilities
• Uses Siemens CT equipment
• Cerner charting system preferred
• Facility is a 562-bed acute care hospital with Level I trauma and Magnet designation
• Any solid color scrubs accepted
• Parking permit required at no cost, arranged during orientation
• First-time travelers are accepted
• Local candidates accepted with no radius restriction
• Previous permanent or PRN employees must be separated from the facility for at least 12 months before returning as a traveler
• Time off requests must be discussed and approved with the manager
• Candidates must work 2 of the 3 major holidays
