Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist to join a Level II trauma CT department in Tacoma, WA. The position requires 2+ years of CT experience, ARRT-CT and ARRT-R certifications, and current BLS.

The facility uses Epic EMR and McKesson PACS and operates 4 GE CT scanners in a busy trauma center. The role features evenings with 10-hour shifts and a 40-hour work week, with limited on-call and no cross-department floating.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• ARRT-CT certification required
• ARRT-R certification required
• Trauma patient experience required (Level II facility)
• IV starts preferred but not required
• License required if applicable
• Radiation badge required (candidate's responsibility, not provided by facility)

Responsibilities

• Performs CT scans for inpatient, outpatient, and emergent cases
• Outpatient volume averages 12-14 scans per day, with ED volume averaging about 40 scans across all shifts
• Uses Epic EMR and McKesson PACS system
• Evening shift schedule: Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri from 1:00 PM to 11:30 PM (10-hour shifts)
• Minimal call requirement
• No floating to other departments required
• Radiologist in-house during the day, on-call after hours
• Radiology supervisor or lead tech available as a resource, except during overnight or weekend shifts
