Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program is required.
• New York State and/or Connecticut licensure as a Radiologic Technologist is required.
• ARRT registration is required.
• Minimum of one year experience performing radiologic exams is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient for exam and explains procedures in lay terms to ease anxiety and obtain consent if needed.
• Performs radiographic examinations per division standards and SOPs, positions patient, and adjusts equipment to obtain correct exposures.
• Labels and processes images, ensures proper marking of sides, dates, and patient IDs, and logs exams accordingly.
• Performs related duties as required and adheres to safety and documentation protocols.

Education

Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program

New York State and/or Connecticut Department of Health licensure as a Radiologic Technologist

American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration

Minimum of one (1) year experience performing radiologic exams
