American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a high-volume acute care hospital, requiring 2+ years of experience and community hospital background.
- Acute care hospital setting with 212 staffed beds
- Adult acute care, outpatient, and Emergency Department patient populations
- Patient ratio of 1:1
- High volume, fast-paced environment averaging 30-40+ scans per 12-hour shift
- Uses GE and Toshiba CT equipment and PACS system
- Epic charting system used
- Day shift (3x12 hours, 11:00-23:30) or night shift (3x12 hours, 18:00-6:30)
- Self-scheduling based on seniority, with possible requests to work outside contracted shift times
- Weekend requirements may exceed every other weekend to meet unit needs
- No on-call requirements
- No floating between units required, though float between sister facilities may be expected
- May be required to transport patients based on staffing needs
- Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience required
- Community hospital experience required
- BLS, ARRT (CT or R), CA CRT, and CT certification required
- License required if applicable
- Must be able to work independently and efficiently
- Skills required in abdomen/pelvis, chest, head/neck, spine, and musculoskeletal CT imaging
- Experience with contrast media preparation and administration
- Knowledge of radiation safety and isolation precautions/PPE
- Compact state license must be in hand at time of consideration
- Perform a high volume of CT scans across abdomen, pelvis, chest, head, neck, spine, and musculoskeletal studies
- May perform specialized procedures such as coronary CTA, vascular CTA, brain perfusion, biopsies, and drainage
- Must be open to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- Free parking available on-site
- First-time travelers are accepted for this role
- Returning staff may reapply after a 3-month break
- RTO must be submitted upfront at time of consideration; post-offer RTO requests may not be granted
- Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate
- Local radius rule of 50 miles applies
