Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel CT Technologist for a 26-week assignment in Bethel, Alaska. The role operates on a 40-hour workweek with rotating shifts and requires ARRT CT certification and BLS, along with one year of CT experience.

The position includes a tax-free stipend and travel accommodations as part of a travel assignment. Responsibilities include performing CT imaging, patient preparation, contrast administration, image evaluation, and maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

• 1 year of CT tech experience
• ARRT (CT) certification with registration
• BLS certification
• state-specific licensing if required
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods and understand anatomy/physiology/medical terminology

Responsibilities

• Operate CT equipment to acquire diagnostic images
• Prepare patients and explain procedures, providing reassurance
• Position patients to scan specific anatomical areas
• Administer radiocontrast agents when needed
• Evaluate image quality and ensure accuracy before interpretation
• Follow radiation safety procedures
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Utilize PACS system (McKesson) for image transfer and storage
