Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist for a 13-week acute care hospital assignment in Columbia, SC. Requires 1+ year CT experience and ARRT (CT) certification with SCRQSA (CT) as a plus, plus BLS. Epic EMR experience and Siemens equipment familiarity are preferred.

The role covers X-ray and CT, 3x12 night shifts, 1:1 patient care, no on-call or floating, with housing support and travel reimbursements. Candidates near Columbia considered locally.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of CT experience
• ARRT (CT) certification required, ARRT (R) preferred
• SCRQSA (CT) certification required, SCRQSA (R) preferred
• License required if applicable
• Epic EMR experience required
• Experience with contrast media preparation and administration
• Peripheral IV starting skills preferred
• Experience with multiplanar reconstruction (MRP) and ROI measurement
• Siemens equipment experience preferred
• Teaching and community hospital experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Multimodality role covering X-Ray and CT in an acute care hospital setting
• 3x12 night shifts, Saturday through Monday, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• No on-call requirements
• No floating required between units or sister facilities
• Patient ratio of 1:1
• Uses Epic for charting and Sectra for PACS
• Performs abdomen/pelvis, head and neck, spine/musculoskeletal, and chest CT studies with and without contrast
• Performs vascular CTA and pulmonary embolism studies
• Cares for adult acute care, outpatient, and emergency department patients
• Performs radiation safety and isolation precaution protocols
• First-time travelers considered depending on position
• Scrub colors are black and/or teal
• Free parking provided with pass at start date
• Previous MUSC perm or PRN staff must be separated for 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility are considered local
• Local candidates considered on a case-by-case basis at a reduced rate
• All requested time off must be submitted at time of consideration
• During hurricane season (June through November), staff may be assigned to emergency response duties
