Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel CT Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Kapaa, Hawaii. The role requires 1 year of CT experience, ARRT (CT) certification, BLS, and state licensure if needed. You will perform CT imaging, ensure quality, and manage patient care with attention to safety and documentation.

Shifts are 8 hours with potential rotation, and a tax-free stipend may be offered. This travel position offers weekly pay and benefits through TotalMed Allied.

Qualifications

• Must have 1 year of CT experience.
• BLS, ARRT (CT) certification and CT licensure as required.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods and position patients for scanning.
• Familiarity with McKesson PACS system.

Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identification and review imaging requests; explain procedures and provide reassurance.
• Interpret doctors' instructions and position patients for scans.
• Use CT equipment to acquire diagnostic images of organs and tissues.
• Administer radiocontrast agents to enhance visibility.
• Evaluate scans for technical quality and accuracy.
• Follow radiation safety procedures and maintain patient records.
• Utilize the McKesson PACS system for image handling.

We are looking for a Computed Tomography Technologist (CT Tech) for an immediate travel opening in Kapaa, HI. The right CT Tech must have 1 year of experience. Read below for additional requirements.

As a CT Tech, you will be responsible for the use of computed tomography equipment and ensuring that images are accurate and passed on to physicians for medical interpretation. CT Techs are also responsible for the preparation of and caring for patients undergoing CT scanning.

Tasks

As a CT Tech, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:

• Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests and explain imaging procedures to patients, providing reassurance and support as required
• Correctly interpret doctors' written instructions
• Appropriately position patients to scan specific areas of their bodies
• Use computerized tomography equipment to capture diagnostic images of patients' internal organs and tissues
• Administer radiocontrast agents to patients to enhance the visibility of internal organs and tissues
• Evaluate CT scans to determine whether they are of good technical quality
• Follow safety procedures when working with radiation
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system

Requirements

Must have 1 year of experience. Must have BLS, ARRT (CT) National Certification with registration in computed tomography, and state-specific licensing when required.

CT Techs should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, bend, lean or stoop easily. CT Techs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
