Responsibilities

Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with at least 2 years of CT experience in a facility larger than a critical access hospital for a high-volume imaging department.

Details

• 270-bed facility CT Scan North unit
• Imaging covers cardiac, trauma, abdominal, pediatric/geriatric, and other complex diagnoses
• Involvement with IR procedures such as biopsies, abscess drainage, and ablation (scanner management only)
• High patient volume with approximately 100 scans per day
• Uses Siemens Go.Top (interventional/procedural), Siemens Somatom Force (ED), and Siemens Pro.Pulse (outpatient) scanners
• EMR system is Meditech
• Medication dispensing via Pyxis
• Variable shift times (10H, 12H, 13H) on a 4-week schedule cycle set 6 weeks in advance
• Every other weekend rotation required
• No on-call requirements
• No floating required

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of CT experience in a facility larger than a critical access hospital
• Current BLS and ARRT-CT certification required
• State license required if applicable
• Experience within the last year on Siemens Go.Top, Somatom Force, and/or Pro.Pulse scanners preferred
• Proficiency in multi-phase imaging for liver, kidney, pancreas, adrenals, and other organs
• Experience with CT studies including IVP, CTA/CTV pelvis, CTA/CTV runoff, enterography, and musculoskeletal trauma imaging
• Experience with CT-guided procedures such as biopsies, aspirations, and drainages
• Experience with gated cardiac imaging
• Minimum 1 year core work experience in the unit specialty area, with up to 2 years potentially required

• Support on the unit includes a team lead, manager, and radiologist
• Orientation includes New Employee Orientation (NEO) with 3-4 days of precepted shifts
• Holiday coverage is expected within staff rotation based on unit needs
• Time off approval is managed by the nurse manager
• Scrubs provided in procedural areas; no specific scrub requirement in other areas
• Designated employee parking lot available
• First-time travelers may be considered if they have experience in a larger institution
