American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a short-term travel assignment in Portland, Oregon. This role supports adult patients in a 536-bed teaching hospital, with a 3x12 hour day schedule and 36 hours per week.

AR RT(R) certification and BLS, plus Epic charting experience, are required. The CT Tech performs imaging of abdomen, pelvis, chest, head and neck with and without contrast, using GE/Philips/Siemens/Toshiba systems with PACS.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year CT Tech experience required.
• ARRT(R) and BLS certification required.
• Epic charting experience required.
• Experience in teaching hospital settings preferred.
• Experience with contrast media and IV initiation required.
• Proficiency in spine and musculoskeletal imaging and trauma cases.
• Competent across all age groups from neonate to older adult.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT imaging of abdomen, pelvis, chest, head and neck with and without contrast.
• Prepare and administer contrast media and start peripheral IVs.
• Work with multiple CT systems and PACS; document with Epic.
• Maintain 1:1 patient monitoring and ensure isolation precautions.

Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a short-term acute care teaching hospital, requiring at least 1 year of experience and ARRT(R) certification.

• Short term acute care teaching hospital setting with 536 total staff beds
• CT Tech unit supporting adult acute care and outpatient patients
• Patient ratio of 1:1
• Performs CT imaging of abdomen, pelvis, chest, head and neck, with and without contrast
• Equipment includes GE, Philips, Siemens, and Toshiba CT systems with PACS
• Uses Epic for charting
• 3x12 hour day shifts from 9:00 AM to 9:30 PM
• Weekend coverage required on Saturdays
• No on-call requirements
• No floating between units

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of CT Tech experience required
• ARRT (R) and BLS certification required
• Epic charting experience required
• Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
• Experience preparing and administering contrast media and starting peripheral IVs required
• Skilled in spine and musculoskeletal imaging including cervical, lumbar, thoracic, and trauma cases
• Competency across all patient age groups from neonate to older adult required
• Valid compact state license required if applicable
• Must provide SSN and DOB for compliance
• Two supervisory references covering 1 year within the last 3 years required

Additional Information

• Performs CT imaging exams with isolation precautions and PPE compliance
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• All RTO requests must be submitted upfront; post-offer RTO requests may not be granted
• First-time travelers will be considered for this position
• Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3 month waiting period and must be located more than 50 miles from the facility
• Candidates must disclose any prior work history at Providence facilities, including dates and location, as part of consideration
• Accepted at a lower bill rate for candidates within 50 miles of the facility
• Scrubs of any color accepted, with OR/Cath Lab scrubs provided by facility
• No parking fees at this facility li>
• Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities near the contracted location
