Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a Travel CT Technologist for a night-shift role in New London, Connecticut. The position requires 1.5–2 years of hospital CT experience and ARRT CT certification, with GE/Siemens equipment proficiency.

The assignment is 13 weeks, 36 hours per week, nights, with call and weekend coverage as needed. Epic charting experience and Rhode Island license may be required for cross‑facility work.

Qualifications

• 1.5-2 years of hospital CT experience required.
• BLS and ARRT (CT) certification required; ARRT (R) preferred.
• GE and/or Siemens equipment experience required, both preferred.
• CT and RI state licenses required; license required if applicable.
• Epic charting experience required.
• Teaching hospital, community hospital, and Level I/II trauma experience preferred.
• Experience with abdomen/pelvis, head and neck, spine and musculoskeletal, and chest CT studies.
• 3D rendering, multiplanar reconstruction, and ROI measurement preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT imaging across adult and pediatric outpatient, ED, ICU, and trauma settings.
• Specialized procedures may include coronary CTA, vascular CTA, CT arthrography, biopsies, aspirations, and drainage.
• Work with GE Optima CT660 and other equipment.
• Float between two hospital locations CT and RI as needed.
• Call and weekend coverage may be required.

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a Level III trauma center offering night shifts, requiring 1.5+ years of hospital CT experience and GE or Siemens equipment proficiency.

Details

• Short‑term acute care Level III trauma center with 252 staffed beds
• Part of the Yale New Haven Health System
• GE Optima CT660 scanner used in department
• 3x12 night shift schedule from 6:00 PM to 8:30 AM
• Call and weekend coverage required as needed
• Float requirement between two hospital locations across CT and RI
• Uses Epic for charting
• Free parking available

• Skills in contrast media preparation/administration, peripheral IV starts, and venipuncture preferred
• One professional reference required for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform CT imaging across adult and pediatric outpatient, ED, ICU, and trauma settings
• Specialized procedures may include coronary CTA, vascular CTA, CT arthrography, biopsies, aspirations, and drainage
• Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted
• COVID vaccine and booster required with religious/medical exemptions only
• Local candidates not accepted within 75 miles of the facility
• Returning staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 2 years to be considered as a traveler
• Up to 7 days of RTO can be auto-approved
• First‑time travelers may be considered
