Job summary

Trinity Health FirstChoice is seeking a Travel CT Technologist to support patient care in Livonia, MI. This 13-week assignment offers flexible scheduling, travel opportunities within the Trinity Health system, and premium pay for night shifts on a 3x12 schedule.

As a CT Technologist you will review orders, position patients, perform CT imaging, and collaborate with CT leadership and radiologists to produce high-quality diagnostic images while adhering to ALARA principles.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or higher in radiologic technology.
• 18 months of CT experience required.
• ARRT CT registration and current BLS certification.
• Willingness to float across locations.
• Cannot hold a concurrent Trinity Health facility position.

Responsibilities

• Review physician orders and exam rationale, prepare patient and position for CT imaging.
• Operate CT equipment and acquire diagnostic images per department protocols.
• Collaborate with CT leadership and radiologists to ensure high-quality imaging while following ALARA.

What you will Do

• FirstChoice CT Techs are utilized to fill short and long-term assignments throughout the health system, and we need you to be a part of this innovative program!

Responsibilities

• The CT Technologist is responsible for reviewing the Physician Order and reason for exam, preparing the patient, positioning, and performing CT imaging of patients.
• The CT Technologist works closely with CT leadership and the Radiologist to produce the most diagnostic images possible in accordance with the department protocols.
• Operates diagnostic imaging equipment to obtain images of the designated body portions for interpretation by physicians, with attention to As Low As Reasonably Achievable (ALARA) techniques.
• Collaborate with members of assigned unit as well as FirstChoice colleagues to deliver evidenced based care within a healing culture for patients as well as families.

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or higher required.
• Eighteen (18) months of CT experience required.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program and registered as a CT by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. (Note: American Heart Association certifications only accepted.)
• Willingness to float throughout the hospital and/or throughout multiple hospital locations.
• Cannot hold a concurrent position at a Trinity Health facility.
