Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a CT Technologist for a travel assignment in Hyannis, Massachusetts. The role requires 1 year of CT experience, BLS, ARRT CT certification, and state licensing as applicable. This travel position is 36 hours per week, with 12-hour night shifts, for approximately 15 weeks.

Training and benefits accompany the assignment. Assigned duties include image acquisition, patient positioning, contrast administration, interpretation of imaging requests, and PACS usage.

Qualifications

• Must have 1 year of experience.
• BLS and ARRT (CT) certification with registration as required by state.
• State-specific licensing when required.
• ASATT Cer A T T plus 2 years experience may be required by assignment.

Responsibilities

• Identify patients and review imaging requests, explaining procedures and providing reassurance.
• Interpret doctors' instructions accurately.
• Position patients for scans.
• Operate CT equipment to capture diagnostic images.
• Administer radiocontrast agents to enhance visibility.
• Evaluate CT images for technical quality.
• Follow radiation safety procedures.
• Maintain patient records.
• Understand and use McKesson PACS.

We are looking for a Computed Tomography Technologist (CT Tech) for an immediate travel opening in Hyannis, MA. The right CT Tech must have 1 year of experience. Read below for additional requirements.

Tasks

As a CT Tech, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:

• Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests and explain imaging procedures to patients, providing reassurance and support as required
• Correctly interpret doctors' written instructions
• Appropriately position patients to scan specific areas of their bodies
• Use computerized tomography equipment to capture diagnostic images of patients' internal organs and tissues
• Administer radiocontrast agents to patients to enhance the visibility of internal organs and tissues
• Evaluate CT scans to determine whether they are of good technical quality
• Follow safety procedures when working with radiation
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system

Requirements

Must have 1 year of experience. Must have BLS, ARRT (CT) National Certification with registration in computed tomography, and state-specific licensing when required.

CT Techs should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, bend, lean or stoop easily. CT Techs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
