Supplemental Health Care is seeking a CT Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment in Martinsville, Virginia. This role features 40 hours per week with night shifts, and offers benefits typical of SHC travel assignments.

The CT Technologist must hold ARRT Radiography (R) certification and an active state license where applicable; ARRT CT certification is preferred, with 1–2 years of Radiologic Technologist experience and CT imaging knowledge.

Qualifications

• ARRT Radiography (R) certification is required.
• Active state radiologic technologist license is required (where applicable).
• ARRT (CT) certification is preferred.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required; ACLS is preferred.
• 1–2 years of Radiologic Technologist experience; CT imaging experience is strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology and CT imaging protocols.

Responsibilities

• Operate CT equipment to capture diagnostic images.
• Sterilize radiologic equipment to ensure patient safety.
• Explain scanning procedures to patients and ensure comfort and safety.
• Adhere to radiation protection practices and safety standards.
• Evaluate CT images for technical quality and accuracy.

Qualifications:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in Radiography (R); ARRT (CT) certification preferred
• Active state radiologic technologist license (if applicable)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association; ACLS preferred
• 1-2 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist; prior CT imaging experience strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and CT imaging protocols

CT Tech Contract Details:

• $2,566 - $2,737 per week*
• 13-week contract with possibility to extend
• NOC shifts available
• 40 hrs/wk

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Using computerized tomography equipment to capture diagnostic images
• Sterilizing radiologic equipment to ensure the safety of patients
• Explaining scanning procedures to patients
• Ensure patient safety and comfort, including appropriate radiation protection practices
• Evaluating CT scans to determine whether they are of good technical quality
