About the Position

The Computed Tomography Technologist (CT) is responsible for performing high-quality CT examinations in accordance with established protocols on various patient populations, from newborns to geriatric patients, for interpretation by a physician.

Shift Details

• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
• On-call rotation required among staff members, covering weekends and evenings.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist is required.
• Candidates who are first‑time travelers are accepted.
• Required certifications include:
  • BLS
  • ARRT (CT)
  • SCRQSA (CT)
• Must hold a registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in CT and South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association certification.
• American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification is mandatory.
• Graduation from an accredited program of radiologic technology or completion of a student clinical rotation with ARRT certification expected by the end of the rotation.
• Pending state license is not accepted; must be obtained prior to the start date.
• Radiation badge is required and must be provided by the staffing agency.

Special Requirements

Candidates should be proficient in performing CT exams for inpatient, outpatient, and emergency room patients, as well as scheduled interventional cases. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Starting IVs
• Administering contrast
• Performing biopsies
• Utilizing the PACS system for imaging

Miscellaneous Information

• Local candidates may be considered on a case‑by‑case basis.
• All requests for time off (RTO) must be included during the submission process for approval based on facility needs.
• Guaranteed hours: Facility may call off 1 shift every 2 weeks.

Emergency Response

Please be aware that all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June to November). It is advised that new or extended assignments not be confirmed during this time.
