Job summary

Wellspring Nurse Source in Charleston, SC seeks a travel CT Technologist to perform X-ray and CT imaging with a focus on high-quality studies and patient comfort.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Radiography and Computed Tomography.
• ARRT Radiography and CT certifications required.
• SCRQSA, BLS; ACLS (pending) accepted if obtained within 2–3 weeks of hire.
• Experience in Emergency, Trauma, Pediatrics, and Orthopedic exams preferred.
• Familiarity with Siemens equipment, EPIC, and PACS advantageous.

Responsibilities

Multi-Modality Technologist

A skilled Multi-Modality Technologist is needed to provide exceptional imaging and patient care in both X-ray and Computed Tomography (CT) modalities. The technologist will be responsible for producing high-quality diagnostic images and effectively communicating procedures to patients, ensuring their understanding and comfort.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality imaging procedures in X-ray and CT modalities.
• Explain procedures to patients to ensure they are informed and at ease.
• Produce images for interpretation by licensed practitioners.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to support patient care.
• Potentially float to like units to meet facility needs.

Shift Information

This position requires a commitment to a 3x12 hour shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, including every other weekend. The facility is flexible with requests for time off; however, all requests must be submitted upon application.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Radiography and Computed Tomography.
• First-time travelers are welcome, although previous experience is preferred.
• Required certifications include:
  • Registered in Radiography (ARRT) (R)
  • Registered in Computed Tomography (ARRT) (C)
  • SCRQSA
  • BLS
  • ACLS (pending certification accepted if obtained within 2-3 weeks of hire)
• Experience in Emergency, Trauma, Pediatrics, and Orthopedic exams is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with Siemens equipment, EPIC, and PACS is advantageous.

Miscellaneous Information

• Radiation badges must be provided by the agency; the facility does not provide them to travelers.
• There is a radius rule of 60 miles for applicants.
• Local candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
• Parking is available for a one-time fee, applicable only during nights and weekends.

Additional Considerations

Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June through November), all employees may be required to participate in emergency response efforts. It is advised not to accept a new contract during this period.
