Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Perform CT scans for emergency, inpatient, and trauma patients.
  • Complete imaging and documentation for 150–200 daily scans.
  • Collaborate with emergency and trauma staff to manage critically ill patients.

Job Title : CT Technologist

Position Summary

Join a high-performing Emergency Department team at a 650-bed Level II trauma hospital. This CT Technologist position is perfect for a detail-oriented professional comfortable in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. Candidates must be experienced in Siemens equipment and able to handle a full trauma caseload independently during weekend overnights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform CT scans for emergency, inpatient, and trauma patients including stroke protocols and vascular studies
  • Operate Siemens CT scanners (S3000 and Sequoia) and utilize Visage and Epic systems
  • Prepare and administer contrast media safely and effectively
  • Collaborate with emergency and trauma staff to manage critically ill patients
  • Complete imaging and documentation for 150–200 daily scans across 4 rooms
  • Follow proper radiation safety and isolation protocols

Required Experience & Credentials

  • Minimum Experience : 2 years in a 500+ bed hospital (Level II trauma experience required )
  • Certifications :

ARRT (R) and ARRT (CT) – Required

  • BLS – Required
  • Systems : Epic EMR and Visage – Required
  • Equipment : Siemens and GE CT scanners
  • Skills : CT of the abdomen, pelvis, chest, spine, head / neck, CTA, brain perfusion, IV starts, contrast administration

Note : Candidates without 500+ bed facility experience will not be considered. No weekend time off requests are allowed.

Additional Information

  • Weekend Coverage : Friday–Sunday only
  • Floating : No
  • Call Requirement : None
  • Caseload : 8–12 patients per 8-hour block
  • Patient Population : Neonates through geriatrics
  • Vaccines : Flu required (medical / religious exemption only); COVID-19 not required
