Responsibilities

Under general to limited supervision, this intermediate-level position performs independent clinical and non-clinical duties to deliver cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology services to adult and pediatric patients, aiding in diagnosis, care, and treatment of various conditions.

  1. Maintain competencies required for a Level I position.
  2. Provide safe, efficient, and patient-centered care using specialized imaging equipment in various healthcare settings.
  3. Prepare patients for procedures, correlating clinical history with ordered procedures.
  4. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to achieve desired outcomes.
  5. Perform diagnostic, interventional, and surgical procedures following established guidelines.
  6. Conduct post-procedure reviews to ensure quality and completeness of studies.
  7. Transfer images/data to archives, document findings, and prepare reports.
  8. Perform quality control, equipment maintenance, and participate in ongoing education.
  9. Mentor less experienced staff and contribute to training sessions.
  10. Assist with quality assurance and performance improvement activities.

Skills and Experience: No specific experience required; however, one year of full-time experience as a cardiovascular or radiologic technologist is preferred. Must possess relevant certifications and licensure as required.

Education: Graduate of an accredited program in cardiovascular or radiologic technology. Associates degree or higher preferred.

Licenses/Certifications: CT credentials required by the hiring department.
