Travel Nurse Across America Allied is seeking a travel CT Technologist for a travel job in Tampa, Florida.

Job Description & Requirements

We are looking for a Computed Tomography Technologist (CT Tech) for an immediate travel opening in Tampa, FL. The ideal candidate must have at least 1 year of experience. Read below for additional requirements.

As a CT Tech, you will operate computed tomography equipment, ensure image accuracy, and provide images to physicians for interpretation. You will also be responsible for patient preparation and care during CT procedures.

Tasks

  • Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests, explain procedures, and provide reassurance and support to patients.
  • Interpret doctors' written instructions accurately.
  • Position patients correctly to scan specific body areas.
  • Operate CT equipment to capture diagnostic images of internal organs and tissues.
  • Administer radiocontrast agents to enhance imaging quality.
  • Evaluate CT scans for technical quality.
  • Follow safety procedures related to radiation use.
  • Utilize the McKesson PACS system effectively.

Minimum Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience as a CT Tech.
  • Certification: ARRT (CT), BLS, and state-specific licensing if required.
  • Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lean for long periods.

Additional certifications may be required prior to assignment.
