Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment in Lafayette, Colorado. Start date November 9, 2026, 36 hours per week on 3x12 hour days, with rotating call and holidays as needed.

The ideal candidate holds ARRT certification (CT preferred), an associate degree, and 1–2 years of CT/acutecare experience. BLS is required and must not expire before start date.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification required at minimum.
• ARRT CT certification preferred.
• BLS (AHA) certification required and not expiring before start.
• Associate degree required.
• 1–2 years CT and acute care experience preferred.
• License required if applicable.
• Fluoroscopy certification preferred for Colorado positions.
• Strong understanding of sectional anatomy and positioning competency.
• Proficiency in CT imaging techniques and protocols.
• Knowledge of contrast administration and injector operation.
• Ability to recognize and respond to emergent patient situations.
• Strong communication and prioritization skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of CT procedures using ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes.
• Verify patient identification and orders, and prepare patients for exams.
• Review and evaluate images for quality, clarity, and accuracy.
• Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and maintain a safe working environment.
• Administer contrast media under physician or radiologist supervision and provide related patient education.
• Coordinate patient care and communicate with other care providers following procedures.
• Practice infection control and sterile techniques.
• Maintain accurate records of procedures and any adverse reactions or incidents.
• Follow protocols for medical necessity, coding, charging, and QC programs.
• May assist in training students and other radiology technologists on protocols and procedures.
