Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Allied Staffing is seeking a travel CT Technologist for a contract in Andalusia, Alabama. This 13-week assignment offers 40 hours per week, dayshift, with travel benefits and credentialing support.

The ideal candidate has 18 months of CT Tech experience, ARRT (CT) or ASRT certification, and licensure as required by state law. You will operate CT equipment, assist radiologists, and maintain patient safety throughout imaging procedures.

Qualifications

• Eighteen months prior experience in a health care setting as a CT Tech.
• ARRT (CT) or ASRT certified
• Most states require licensure
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate CT equipment to produce cross-sectional images of patients' bones, organs and tissue.
• Position patients for CT scans using immobilization and protective equipment as necessary.
• Assist radiologist with imaging procedures, starting IVs, and injecting contrast, if applicable.
• Dispensing oral contrast to patients for CT scans.
• Assisting radiologist with interventional CT procedures.
• Evaluate CT scans for technical quality, label images in order of exposure.
• Schedule patients for procedures and assist with clerical tasks.
• Load and operate power injections for contrast media administration.
