American Traveler is seeking a Travel CT Technologist for an assignment in Bryan, Texas at a Level 3 trauma facility. The role requires ARRT CT certification, 2+ years' CT experience, and Texas MRT license.

You will work evenings in a 12-hour shift rotation, with 24–40 hours weekly and on-call duties as needed. You perform CT scans with and without contrast using GE scanners, interact with ER and inpatient populations, and rely on MEDITECH EMR and Fuji PACS.

Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for an acute care Level 3 trauma facility, requiring 2+ years of experience and ARRT (CT) certification.

Details

• Acute care setting within a Level 3 trauma center, CT department
• 12-week assignment with 40 guaranteed hours per week
• Shift schedule includes Wed/Thurs 1200-0000 and every other Fri/Sat/Sun, plus possible call
• On-call shifts require a 30-minute response time
• First to float between Bryan and College Station campuses (16 minutes apart) as needed
• 3 CT scanners available (1 in ER, 2 in Main), using 1 16-slice and 2 64-slice GE scanners
• Performs CT scans with and without contrast, averaging 16-24 scans per day
• Works with ER and inpatient patient populations
• Uses MEDITECH EMR and Fuji PACS system
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend
• Occasional holiday rotation with permanent staff
• Call rotation occurs every 6th week with varying shift times depending on rotation schedule

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience required
• Current BLS (AHA) certification required
• ARRT (CT) certification required
• Texas MRT license required
• License required if applicable
• Must be able to start IVs
• MEDITECH EMR experience preferred

Additional Information

• Radiologist in house during the day; available virtually at night with ER physician support for emergencies
• Unit provides rad dosimetry badge
• May be asked to precept as needed by the unit
• Department-specific orientation provided (12 hours)
• Black scrubs required; not provided by facility
• Call outs are strongly discouraged and may lead to termination
• Candidates must not have been directly employed by any CommonSpirit-associated facility, including CHI and/or Dignity, within the past year; PRN employment through outside staffing firms will be considered
