Job summary

WakeMed Health & Hospitals Imaging Services seeks a CT Technologist to provide quality CT imaging under physician orders, following radiation safety protocols and safety standards. The role reports to the Radiology supervisor and supports timely, professional imaging care for patients.

Qualified applicants will hold ARRT licensure in Radiography and Computed Tomography, or ARRT Radiography plus MR/NM credentials, with graduate radiologic technology or CT education. Experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Registered Technologist for Radiography required.
• Registered Technologist in Computed Tomography required.
• Or Registered Technologist for Radiography and Registered Technologist in Magnetic Resonance Imaging or Nuclear Medicine Technology required.

Responsibilities

• Provides quality CT images of designated portions of the body under the direct order of a physician.
• Adheres to radiation safety procedures to ensure patient and staff safety.
• Works under the supervision of the Radiology supervisor.
• Maintains accurate patient records and images as part of imaging services.

The Imaging Services department has the state-of-the-art computerized tomography equipment and the CAT Scan Technologists provides quality images of designated portions of the body under the direct order of a physician and in accordance with radiation safety procedures. Accomplishes patient care in a timely, professional, efficient, and safe manner. This position reports to the Supv, Radiology.
