Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a high-volume acute care hospital, requiring 2+ years of experience and ARRT CT/R certification.
- Acute care hospital setting with 212 staffed beds
- High-volume, fast-paced CT department handling 30-40+ scans per 12-hour shift
- Patient ratio of 1:1
- Adult acute care, adult outpatient, and Emergency Department settings
- Day shift (3x12 hours, 11:00-23:30) or night shift (3x12 hours, 18:00-6:30) available
- Self-scheduling based on seniority
- Weekend requirements may exceed every other weekend to meet unit needs
- No call requirement
- No floating between units required, though may be asked to float between sister facilities
- May be asked to volunteer for shifts outside contracted start times
- May be asked to perform own patient transport based on staffing needs
- Uses GE and Toshiba equipment along with PACS and Fuji Synapse systems
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience required
- Community hospital experience required
- Current BLS, ARRT (CT or R), CA CRT, and CT certification required
- License required if applicable
- Compact state license must be in hand at time of submission
- Epic charting experience required
- Proficiency in abdomen and pelvis imaging with and without contrast required
- Experience with chest imaging with and without contrast
- Skills in cervical, lumbar, thoracic spine, and musculoskeletal trauma imaging
- Knowledge of isolation precautions/PPE, contrast media administration, and radiation safety
- Must be able to work independently and efficiently
Additional Information
- May be asked to perform special procedures including aspirations, biopsies, brain perfusion, coronary CTA, drainage, and vascular CTA
- Coronary angiography, calcium scoring, and vascular chest imaging (PE, CTA, aorta) preferred skills
- Must be open to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- First-time travelers are accepted
- RTO requests must be submitted upfront at time of submission
- Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate
- Local radius rule of 50 miles applies
- Former Providence permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a travel employee and cannot be within 50 miles of the facility submitted to
- Two supervisory references required, covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years
