Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a Level I Trauma teaching hospital, requiring at least 2 years of Siemens CT experience and ARRT certification.
Details
- Level I Trauma teaching hospital CT department
- Adult and pediatric acute care, outpatient, and emergency department patients
- Performs abdomen, pelvis, chest, head/neck, spine, and musculoskeletal CT studies
- Specialized procedures include brain perfusion, CT colonography, CT arthrography, transplant studies, and vascular CTA
- Preparation and administration of contrast media and peripheral IV starts
- Uses Siemens CT equipment and PACS imaging system
- Epic charting system used, with McKesson experience a plus
- Evening shift, 4x10 hours, Tuesday through Friday, 1:00 PM to 11:30 PM
- May float within scope of practice as needed
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a CT Technologist, including recent Siemens equipment use
- ARRT (R)(CT) and ARRT (R) certification required, along with BLS
- VA or compact state radiology license required if applicable, must be in hand at time of consideration
- Epic charting experience required
- BSN preferred
- Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
- Level I Trauma experience required
- 2 professional references required
Additional Information
- Performs CT imaging across abdomen, pelvis, chest, head/neck, and musculoskeletal studies with and without contrast
- Supports specialty CT procedures including brain perfusion, colonography, arthrography, and vascular CTA studies
- Completes facility orientation modules during the first week of assignment
- ER and Psych candidates must undergo fingerprinting per Virginia law, with a 15-20 business day turnaround; candidates cannot start with pending results
- Facility maintains a natural nail policy
- Drug and tobacco‑free workplace, with no smoking allowed on campus
- Local candidates accepted at the same base rate with no radius restrictions
- Both travelers and permanent staff must be separated from the facility for one year before returning as a traveler
- Candidates should not work over 40 hours per week unless approved by the unit manager
- First‑time travelers may be considered if they meet the required Siemens experience
